Hi, I’m Katie — The creator behind Pine & Palms Home.

Pine & Palms Home was born from the contrast of two places that continue to shape the way I live and design: the mountains of Montana and the relaxed ease of California living.

I grew up in a log home surrounded by acres of towering pine trees, flowing rivers, and wide open skies. Life felt slower there — rooted in nature, connection, and the simple rhythms of home. The scent of pine in the air, evenings outdoors, and spaces designed for gathering left a lasting impression on me and continue to inspire the heart behind Pine & Palms Home today.

Now living in California with my husband and our two children, I’ve spent the last decade thoughtfully renovating our 1957 suburban ranch house into a home centered around outdoor living, connection, and everyday comfort. Our backyard has become an extension of our home — a place where kids play freely, friends and family gather often, and there’s always space to slow down and enjoy the moment.

At Pine & Palms Home, I share curated outdoor living inspiration, functional home ideas, and thoughtfully selected products that help make everyday life feel more beautiful, effortless, and connected. I believe a well-designed home isn’t about perfection — it’s about creating spaces that support the way you truly want to live.
